Hello, in todays blog we write about our long weekends.

In the labour weekend, I went to see my family in Timaru. We had a great time fishing. I milked a cow and mucked out  the shed. I liked seeing my family because I don't see them often. It was fun to be on the farm again.

Forest

Hello,

Today we read page 12-16 of Uncle Don Knows Heaps Of Wacky Stuff.

I made a Canva art poster with all the facts on it.  My poster is about what you will need when you go into the forest whether it's for an overnight hike or hunting trip.

Forest

I really liked doing Uncle Don knows heaps of wacky stuff because there's lots of topics you can pick from. I would like to do this with another book. It's fun when you get to pick from lots of different things instead of the whole class doing the same thing.

Hope you like it.

shaping up blog post.

 Hello,

In Te Ao Whanui /shaping up we have been learning a lot about mapping, pentagons and more.

I learnt how to map,  read compasses and about lines and angles . We had also been learning rotation, reflection and translation.

My favourite part is all the mapping that we did and scales. The mapping was so fun and so were the scales. There were activities where you had a ship and other things in the way and you had to avoid them to get to the box of gold at the bottom of the map. You had to do it using north, east, south and west. There were lots of other ones to do as well that was just my favourite one to do. My favourite part was the mapping and scales because I found it fun and interesting to learn about. It was also easy to understand and to do the work.

I like shaping up. It's fun and I learnt a lot about lines and angles, mapping and pentagons. I  think I need to learn more about pentagons and nets.
